Soft Skills Training

Soft skills are personal attributes that enhance an individual’s interactions, job performance and career prospects.
In a recent survey by Virgin Media Business, it was revealed that the biggest priority when looking for prospective employees in 2011 is ensuring they possess the right interpersonal and communication skills.
But what about current employees? Do they have the skills which will enable them to work more effectively and represent the organisation in the right way?
Advanced Business Solutions are now able to support your organisation by providing your employees with the skills and tools they need to develop further. We can now provide the following courses:
Time Management
Do you ever feel overwhelmed by how much you have to do, or feel you allocate too much time to tasks that aren’t business critical?
This course will show delegates how they can regain control of their workload by managing their time more intelligently. They will learn how and when to say no, how to prioritise tasks effectively and most importantly, how to consistently sustain these improvements over time.
Effective time management skills and tools can make immediate, lasting improvements within the workplace.
Effective Communication
Whether dealing with customers, colleagues or suppliers communication is key - but being an effective communicator takes real skill.
Communication skills have to be developed, honed and added to on an on-going basis and the greater your awareness of how it all works, the more effective your communication will be.
This course will demonstrate to delegates how body language, tone of voice and what people hear contribute to how a message is relayed. Getting it wrong can impact on how you or your organisation is perceived by others.
Dealing with Difficult Situations
At times we all encounter difficult situations whether it is an unhappy customer, unacceptable behaviour from a colleague or unsatisfactory service. How we deal with these situations is key to their resolution, but do you have the skills to effectively handle them?
This course will challenge delegates and equip them with the skills necessary to turn complaints in to opportunities, handle criticism effectively and cope with extreme behaviour in the most difficult of situations.
Dealing with Change
Change - how important is it? Should we alter the way we do to things at work and in our personal lives in order to be more effective or should we make changes just for change’s sake?
Change is important, however it is more important to understand the process of change and what the implications actually are when implementing it.
This course will cover how to deal with change, what types of change there are and why change is hard at times.
